ANNOUNCEMENTS

The Tribe is seeking proposals for salvaging all useable materials and subsequent demolition of eleven (11) buildings located at the former Air National Guard station commonly known as Coos Head in Charleston, Oregon (Project). If you have, or know of a salvage and demolition company that is interested in such a project, please click on the following link for more information: Request for Proposals

Workers At Coos Head: Knife River will be working at Coos Head replacing the water systems from December 1,2009 to February 15, 2010.

The following committees have openings:   Child Protection Team has one vacancy.   Tribal Health Board has two vacancies.  Oregon Cultural Trust Tribal Cultural Coalition Planning Committee has one vacancy.   If you are a Tribal member and are interested in joining one of these committees, fill out and mail in the linked 'Letter of Interest' form that follows: Letter of Interest form>> or contact Judy Anderson (541) 888-7526.  

Attention Veterans and Veterans' Families: We need your help! Native American Medal of Honor medallions are being awarded to a group of Veterans at the Salmon Ceremony each year. If you are Veteran, we ask that you or your family members submit your name, address, military information including branch of military and dates of active service. Please send your information to: Enrollment Department 1245 Fulton Avenue, Coos Bay, OR 97420.

Housing Committee Hosts Public Meeting

You are invited to a public meeting February 24, 2010 from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the World Market Buffet inside Three Rivers Casino in Florence, Oregon. The meeting is hosted by the Confederated Tribes of Coos, Lower Umpqua & Siuslaw Indians' Housing Committee. The meeting will give us a chance to discuss the proposed housing on the Hatch Tract. Transportation will be provided from the Tribal Administration Building in Coos Bay and refreshments will be served during the meeting. Please call the Tribal Housing Department at 541-888-7504 if you have questions or would like to request a ride from the Tribal Administration building.
